QuinStar Technology's QWS, QWR, QWB, QWT and QAC series Waveguide
Straight Sections, Bends, Twists and Custom Waveguide Assemblies
cover the frequency range of 18 to 220 GHz in ten waveguide bands. Straight waveguide
sections are available in standard lengths as well as customer-specific lengths.
Our waveguide
assemblies are now plated in-house, making fast turn-around possible. Our Gold plating
meets the requirements of MIL-G-45204C Type II, our Silver plating meets the requirements
of QQ-S-365B and our copper plating meets the requirements of MIL-C-14550B.
QWS series Straight
Sections are built with precision and plated for low insertion loss and high
corrosion resistance. Typical VSWR for straight sections is 1.05:1 over the entire
frequency band.
QWB and QWT series
waveguide bends and twists cover the frequency range of 18 to 220 GHz in ten
waveguide bands. E-Plane and H-Plane formed bends are available with angles of 30°, 45°,
60°, and 90°. The twists allow changing the orientation in a waveguide assembly.
The twists are available with
angles of 45° in either a left- or right-hand twist or a standard 90°. The bends and
twists are built with high precision and then gold plated for low insertion loss and high
corrosion resistance. Typical VSWR is 1.10:1 over entire frequency band.
QAC custom waveguide
assemblies: QuinStar Technology specializes in producing custom waveguide
assemblies for use in virtually any product assembly and for interconnects in millimeter
wave subsystems. These waveguide assemblies can involve complex bends, twists, and other
mechanical features required for low loss interconnections within subsystem assemblies.
Each waveguide assembly is
manufactured to customer’s precise mechanical drawing and specifications using the
most suitable material, waveguide flanges and finish. |
Emergency Expedited Custom Waveguide Service:
QuinStar Technology now offers a fast-turnaround emergency custom waveguide service for
customers who have a critical need (small quantities only). In most cases the waveguide
can be built and shipped within one to two working days of accepting the customer's order.

QWR Raw
Waveguide: Various cut lengths of raw copper, coin silver, stainless steel and
bronze waveguide are also available. These are offered in sizes WR-42, WR-28, WR-22,
WR-19, WR-15, WR-12, WR-10, WR-8, WR-6 and WR-5.
Environmental note: QuinStar is committed
to keeping all hazardous chemicals used in our plating system from being released into the
environment. Our new plating system is designed to recycle all chemicals and fluids used
in the plating process. This also includes the water used for rinsing, which is
continually circulated through filters designed to trap and hold all plating residue.
These filters are periodically processed by a recycling company and then returned to
QuinStar for re-use.
